The ITV drama stars Sheridan Smith and is using a local police station in Andalucía as a filming location
The series is the latest drama announced by ITV and follows a family whose holiday in Turkey gets turned upside down when their 16-year-old son is accused of a serious crime. The screenwriter behind the show is BAFTA-winning Danny Brocklehurst, who wrote hit British TV shows such as ‘Shameless’ and ‘Brassic’.
Around 60 vehicles and 130 cast and crew members have been based in Vera since last week while they recorded the necessary police station scenes, and the filming caused minor disruption in the roads around the station as it required stopping traffic intermittently for intervals of up to five minutes.
Filming complied with all the necessary municipal procedures and protocols, and the production company has thanked the local Town Hall for all their help.
The series will be aired sometime next year on British TV channels and on major streaming platforms.
