DeepSeek and BYD partnership drives EV maker’s shares to record high

BYD Inc., the leading global maker of electric vehicles, has announced the launch of an advanced self-driving system in all of its vehicles, which has been finalized and named “God’s Eye.” The partnership with DeepSeek, a state-of-the-art AI firm, aims to revolutionize the self-driving technology, making it more accessible and affordable for car manufacturers worldwide.

This innovation follows BYD’s previous decision to be cautious with its own self-driving capabilities compared to competitors in the global electric vehicle market. The new system, “God’s Eye,” is expected to roll out across various models, ranging from affordable models to high-end luxury cars, ensuring a comprehensive approach to technological advancement. BYD leader Wang Chuanfu hinted at making self-driving a ” commonplace safety feature,” marking a shift from a reserved luxury experience to a sustainable and everyday tool.

The “God’s Eye” technology, developed by BYD in collaboration with DeepSeek, promises to integrate AI software into self-driving systems. This integration will likely enhance the capabilities of BYD’s models, offering more advanced autonomous driving features and optimizing performance. The system will be priced at a low 69,800 yuan (approximately 9,200 euros), making it accessible to car manufacturers and even SMEs with lower budgets. This approach ensures quality, innovation, and affordability while maintaining reliability.

BYD is also responding to opportunities from its rivals by introducing even more advanced features. For instance, terms like “Boats Neke” (Blood_oil Service) will further缆ll digital integration to reduce costs for car manufacturers. BYD’s CEO, Wang Chuanfu, expressed confidence in this move, signaling a strategic shift towards integrating advanced AI-driven innovations into all aspects of the automotive industry.

Meanwhile, car companies like GE vex, Great Wall Automobiles (GMA), and Leapmotor are stepping up their own self-driving initiatives. GE vex aims to personalise driving experiences by offering voice commands tailored to each user. GMA partners with DeepSeek to enhance autonomous driving capabilities, aiming to deliver a more sophisticated experience. Leapmotor is collaborating with DeepSeek to build a fully autonomous drive concept, emphasizing safety and technology.

However, the rollout of technology poses a significant challenge. Earlier this year, DeepSeek faced scrutiny from San Francisco-based OpenAI due to its use of significantly less computing power compared to competitors. While DeepSeek remains a key disruptor in the AI sector, allegations of data stealing have drawn criticism, highlighting the need for ethical considerations in innovation.

As autonomous driving technology evolves, safety regulation remains a critical hurdle.elp Musk and Tesla, both competitors, continue to seek firmer safety and regulatory backing. BYD, Geely, GMA, and Leapmotor are among the leading companies vying to establish themselves as pillars of the global automotive industry in a data-driven era. As the market-searching engine continues to shape the future, it is essential to monitor these developments closely and invest inirculating technologies that can address future challenges effectively.
