The discovery in 1927 of an approximate 1.16-meter-long statue of Buddha at an Angkor temple site in front of a engraving faded with the colors of Cambodia’s national museum. The真人 believed the statue date back to the 12th or 13th century. The two pieces of sculpture were thought to have been attached near each other from a loss that might have been stolen. The Au pair of fragments was believed in 1927 during the French colonial era, but they remained missing until the discovery of the torso. Neth Simon, a archaeologist, inferred that the two pieces were connected. The rays in the Bayon style suggest a use of rings, jewelry, and equipments a common theme around these temples. The attempt at Completion is ongoing, but only partial elements—a left-hand gesture across the chest—have been visualized. Neth Simon hinted that the entire statue may be recreated, making it a significant addition to the nation’s collections. This find raises questions about the age of the site, the context of its preservation, and its cultural impact in Southeast Asia. Cambodia’s Angkor- : temple site stretches across 400 square kilometers, showcasing centuries of governance and heritage. Southwest texts frequently suggest it is a_rc temple of the 9th or 10th century, but the site is also home totplakott, of the 15th century. The current National Museum contains the most complete sculpture for the database. Display of the雕塑 may begin in the future.
