Spanish officers tracked the man down in La Coruña, where he was working as a delivery driver
The National Police in La Coruña (Galicia) have arrested a dangerous criminal who was on the run from Venezuelan authorities for a murder committed back in 2016.
The man was wanted for a violent crime carried out in 2016 in which he threatened a man on a public road, kidnapped him and then killed the victim by shooting him several times while demanding money.
National Police requested help from the Special Operation Security Group to carry out the arrest, as the Venezuelan man was classified as armed, violent, dangerous and with a tendency to flee.
Another Latin American fugitive was also detained in Galicia; a Columbian woman who was wanted for money laundering in the city of Cali Valle in 2016. She was tracked to Orense initially, but was later found in an extremely isolated rural area of La Coruña, where she was working as a cleaner/helper in someone’s home.
The woman was also arrested by the Spanish police force and could face up to 30 years in prison as a result of her crimes.
