Belgian authorities have formally requested the European Parliament to revoke the immunity of five Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) involved in an investigation into allegations of corruption by the Chinese technology company Huawei. This is in response to a query raised by the Belgian Prosecutor’s Office, which believes the investigation concerns individuals linked to Huawei.
