Eleven other mountaineers were evacuated from the Aragon mountain

Emergency services arrived at the scene after receiving an alert at 2pm that one of the climbers had fallen from a height onto the rocks below and had suffered multiple injuries. A nurse confirmed that the man had died and his body was airlifted to the Panticosa heliport, according to the Guardia Civil in Huesca.
The guide of the mountaineering group informed emergency services that the 11 other climbers, who were all senior citizens, were suffering from shock and also had to be flown out. The body of the deceased was transferred to Jaca Hospital.
