Three Ryanair changes every passenger needs to know in 2025 after shock U-turn

Summary of Ryanair’s Major Changes After Chairman’s Christianity Highlights:

  1. Hand Luggage Restrictions Made-Easy

    • Ryanair now requires women to carry one small bag and men to carry two smaller bags, both need to fit under the seat in front. These bags are already available for about £11.99, a 25% discount. Men can even carry a 20kg checked bag without missing the check-in window.
  2. Digital Boarding Pass Roll-Off

    • Expected to replace paper boarding passes with digital ones generated in the ‘myRyanair’ app, reducing paper costs and eliminating check-in fees at airports.
  3. Stricter Digital Only Passes

    • They will take effect in November, allowing passengers to bypass paper checks. However, digital boarding passes not yet in use need online passwords provided at check-in, reducing costs.
  4. Extra Rules Atámpor Time
-Passengers with extra luggage—up to 10kg—will pay less for priority carries and a small hand bag compared to carrying their own. These fees apply for one hour after flight departure.

  5. Digital Boarding Passes Made Easy

    • At departure, arriving just in time (within 40 minutes) and online via the app avoids many airport charges, including missed departure fees.
  6. Scheduling Easier with Digital Options
    • Digital boarding passes can be generated now, reducing check-in fees and eliminating the need for extra charges. The app will help manage the airport smoothly.

In conclusion, Ryanair’s decisions are aimed at making flights safer and more affordable, with a focus on practicality and convenience through these new digital systems.
