A LANDLORD has come under fire after trying to rent out their bathroom as a bizarre OFFICE – for £50 a week.
The eccentric listing boasts of having two desks, a toilet and fiber broadband connection in the centre of Glasgow..
It also has two lamps, an unfrosted window above the loo and a kettle with tea and coffee on a shelf next to the toilet.
A variety of books are also on offer, and a mini fridge has been placed in the former bathroom – despite obvious hygiene issues.
The strange converted bathroom has been mocked online, with people joking that health and safety rules seem to have been breached to create the room.
One person posted on Twitter: “Someone in Partick is renting their s***er out as an office.”
Another added: “Report to Elf and Dafty for inability to leave a desk space rapidly in case of emergencies!”
A third said: “Okay where is the shower? What about wet paperwork? There is a proclaim there waiting to happen.”
The room is offered up for £50 a week to anyone who wants to use it as an office, and have their own private entrance.
Describing the room, the landlord said on Gumtree: “Small and compact space ideal for solo working.
“Located on the 1st floor of a tenement building in Partick, the space has its own private entrance.
“Included is fibre broadband connection, 2 x desks, mini fridge, toilet and sink, underfloor heating, lamps, mains supply, kettle.
“It’s a nice quiet spot and was recently converted. Available from 8am to 6pm Mon to Fri and would provide keys to longer term renters.”
