George Russell has taken pole placement in FP2, overtaking Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc who experienced earlier topped the standings in the first-ever Miami Grand Prix apply session.
The Mercedes driver established the fastest lap time of 1m 29.938s, to edge forward of Championship chief Leclerc, who completed .106s off the tempo.
With track temperatures a little bit dropping for the next apply session, motorists began the FP2 race on medium compounds and it was Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz who took the guide on all those tyres with a time of 1m 31.463s.
