The eldest daughter of King Felipe VI will undertake an International Baccalaureate in the UK
Princess Leonor, the Princess of Asturias, has departed Spain to begin her studies at the UWC (United World Colleges) Atlantic College, a residential sixth form school in the Vale of Glamorgan in Wales.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, as well as her younger sister, the Infanta Sofia, all accompanied Princess Leonor to Barajas airport in Madrid to say their goodbyes, as she embarks on a two-year International Baccalaureate program.
The academic schedule will run from 2021 until 2023 and includes both science and literature subjects, as well as a course on theory of knowledge, a research project, a creative program (theatre, music, art etc.), sports and community-based activities such as working with children with disabilities or the elderly.
