DARRAGH Ennis has stated he’d love to see a huge change to the show that made him famous, The Chase.
The Irish chaser – who also works as a neuroscientists at Oxford University – would love a slight switch-up.
Darragh became a professional Chaser on the ITV gameshow in 2020, three years after appearing on it as a contestant and wowing bosses.
He now appears alongside Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Jenny Ryan.
Speaking to Irish publication RTÉ Entertainment ahead of the show’s return, he revealed what would really like to see in the future.
The 41-year-old said: “I would love an Irish version of the show.”
Darragh – who goes by the Menace on the Bradley Walsh-hosted show – explained he’d be keen to get involved.
He continued: “Maybe the guys in Virgin Media can commission it and I would definitely put myself forward as a Chaser.
“Jenny is on the Irish quiz team for the World Cup so she would quick to jump at it as well.”
However, he did add that one crucial element of the show would be hard to recreate.
Darragh admitted: “It would be hard to find another Bradley because whoever it was would be directly competing with him.
“But I’m sure there’s tons of talent out there who could do it, so if you know anybody, we can start.
“It would be brilliant.”
