Police shoot ‘XL Bully type dog’ dead after it ‘attacked man and woman’ outside house

This article highlights the tragic loss of an “XL Bully” dog following an attack on a man and a woman outside a house in Newtownards, County Down. The incident took place on Thursday evening, and emergency services were rapidly dispatched to the scene. According to police updates, several officers were present, including the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s team. The dog was reportedly attacked before first aid was provided for its injuries, and it then proceeded to be destroyed by trained officers due to its size and potential danger to public safety.

The images presented show that armed officers approached a passageway in a property, and the dog was shot at with spray used afterward. The scene was sealed off, and there have been reports about an XR Bully dog being involved, which was banned in the UK under new rules starting this year.

BelfastLive has provided a statement from the PSNI, which described the incident as a serious oversight and expressions其对人员的担忧. The dog was charged with several crimes, including Karenne’s attack and the loss of life. It was noted that both the dog and the vulnerable individuals involved faced serious legal consequences for their actions.

The incident has been met with growing concern, including the reports of xenophobia and the creation of a closedLt. Commander centre. However, as an illegal breed, the XL Bully was not allowed without an exemption certificate, which requires the dog to have microchipping, licensing, and third-party insurance.

The PSNI’s statement emphasized the need for strict management, with dogs needing to be neutered as part of the exemption conditions. The police and emergency services have been tasked with addressing the situation and ensuring the safety of any residents affected by such incidents.
