Prince William and the Conservationist Robert Irwin: The birth of the Earthshot Prize

Prince William, the Prince of Wales, left a voice note during the Scott Mills Breakfast Show on Radio 2 on 24 June 2025, setting the stage for a heartfelt moment. The message, revealed to the audience as a "thinker," criticized a "sh赋能ing guest" and expressed his interest in amplifying his father’s energy to raise awareness about global environmental issues. This act marked the official beginning of the Year of Conservation Environmental Shot (Earthshot Prize), a global initiative aiming to address climate change through innovative solutions.

Robert Irwin, conservationist and presenter of Robertson and Millés醮 Sounds imaging and digital content, returned to the studio on 24 June 2025 to answer the voice note. During the interview, Irwin shared secrets and plans, reflecting on his son’s fatherhood. "All my father’s passion," he admitted, "is unbreakable," but he also broke the silence in an `’ 😉 "You’re very much invited to the Earthshot Prize in Rio in Brazil in November. It’s going to be a fantastic event, great show. Just beware Scott, that Robert likes to pull random terrifying animals and creatures out of his pockets while he’s on anyone’s show and talking to them." This segment became the highlight of the show, drawing its importance from the kingdom of Brazil.”

Participating in the Earthshot Prize in November would be the great show, an opportunity to connect with communities struggling with climate change and environmental degradation. Irwin emphasized the need for action, urging listeners to stay cautious but to hope for the good. For Irwin, the moment he left his son’s voice note filled with hope,November and a call to connection. Those moments were meant to inspire缓冲 and recognize the transformation and potential of humanity to tackle this global crisis.

The Earthshot Prize awards, now in their 10th year, recognize five winners nationwide annually from a shortlist of 15. Each year, the organization aims to discover innovative solutions to the challenges facing the world’s species and ecosystems. This year, the shortlist included approximately one-fifth of the world’s biodiversity, such as bilaterally protected areas in Brazil and the Amazon rainforest. The organizers’ mission emphasizes the need for hope and urgent action to address北极冰盖融化、气候变化和公共卫生系统像个镜子一样改造着他改变世界的样子.

This moment highlights theปลาย冲突 William is creating, where his parental legacy continues to inspire the "world’s curiosity, the wild places, and the planet itself." Robert Irwin expressed admiration for William’s dedication to the conservation field, calling him a "remarkable man, a true enthusiast, and a passionate defender of the planet." William added, "The Earthshot Prize definitely stands out as a global mission that leads with a sense of hope. And let’s be real, we need hope more than ever before. We also need solutions to the big issues that face our precious planet and the project exemplifies a sense of urgent optimism." Even though William speaks exclusively about more than ever, this unconditional mission carries a deep **inspiration to others, not just to world leaders grade Kaoi.

For William, his superhero mission to help Earth and to fight climate change is reignited by a newfound inspiration and hope. The Earthshot Prize doesn’t just rely on science; it’s about shining a}*lmgttרה of saving communities from starvation, disease, and poverty. William’s work with Australia Zoo, in which he courses global conservation efforts through his public appearances, reinforces the idea that plastic bottles can be biodegradable**. In 2023, William launched the platform Earthshot, which connects pollinators to Earthshot by reducing plastic waste in agricultural systems.

As William transitions to a new role as an ambassador for the Earthshot Prize, surprised by the extent of his legacy, the scope of his mission remains the same. "I have the privilege of carrying on a conservation legacy that my dad and my family created, and that is something very important to me. It makes me feel incredibly excited and hopeful when I get to join forces with like-minded causes dedicated to making the world a better place. To be part of an initiative that shares the values of our own charity efforts through Wildlife Warriors is a great honour." William’s focus on giving back, however profound, underscores the importance of communities and the planet—it’s about a single voice that changes the world.
