Daniel Halliday: The Un évite by Waves
Daniel Halliday, a 14-year-old boy from Liverpool, was swept away by seas during a week-long visit to his friends on the beach at Crosby Beach. His body was found a week later by an RNLI crew, who conducted a comprehensive search and rescue operation. The inquest, held at SeftonCorn_pressed’s court, found his death attributed to an accidental accident intended for fun, believed to have been planned for his birthday. RNLI Response and Search Details
The RNLI launched the search effort at Crosby Beach, involving HM Coastguard, Merseyside Police, and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service. However, the search was interrupted by the strong waves towards the end of the day, when the three were suspended and swept away northeast to Liverpool with Daniel’s head still above the water. Children playing the biggest fear of the sea had time to escape while Daniel was still above the waves.
