The WTA has announced it will kick off its 2023 season with the new United Cup workforce event in Australia.
The celebration, which begins on December 29 and operates right up until January 8, usually takes put in Brisbane, Perth and Sydney and is a merged group opposition that normally takes location with the men’s tour, the ATP.
The 2023 period is the 50th anniversary for the organisation, and along with the United Cup there will also be a WTA 500 match in Adelaide and a WTA 250 competitiveness in Auckland.

There are further improvements to the calendar, with the inclusion of a WTA 250 celebration in Austin, Texas, and an additional in Merida, Mexico. Both functions just take position in February.
There are WTA 1000 activities in Dubai, Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Rome, Montreal and Cincinnati.
So far there are 10 WTA 500 tournaments planned and a different 24 WTA tournaments.
“As the WTA celebrates its 50th anniversary, the 2023 calendar showcases the outstanding breadth and access of women’s tennis,” introduced Steve Simon, WTA Chairman and CEO.
“We are enthusiastic and happy to showcase our incredible events to our worldwide audience of in excess of 900 million followers, with tournaments in six continents and about 20 countries from January to early September.”
