German satirist acquitted over social media posts about Trump assassination attempt

Introduction

Last year, a Berlin-based satirist, known online as El Hotzo, faced charges of endorsing last year’s assassination attempt against Donald Trump. Little was known about the initiative until exactly a year later when the_DES shooting took place at a US election rally. El Hotzo promptly appeared online to probe Trump and his simply referred “last bus,” paving the way for a series of satirical remarks.
