UK heatwave: Weather maps show exact date temperatures will peak in 34C scorcher

Day 1: temperatures rising as high as 31C in some parts of the UK as a potential heatwave begins

Day 3: temperatures peak at 32C in central and eastern England, with maximums rising slightly to 34C across southern England as the heat wave gets more intense. While the region remains damp, the heat can still cause localized issues, with thunderstorms and heavy precipitation appearing.

Temperature trends across regions: England and Wales remain above average with maximums expected to rise further, while Northern Ireland and Scotland will experience lower temperatures due to the impact of leading pressure systems.

Widespread heatwaves are set to occur as temperatures continue to rise in the early hours of tomorrow mornings, with both England and Wales seeing significant maxima. On Tuesdays, temperatures are set to reach 33C across central and southern England, while in Northern Ireland and Scotland, they will remain around 24C.

The heatwave is on the rise, with ongoing weather patterns indicating even more localized issues to come on Wednesdays. Techniques like heavy rain and thunderstorms will take center stage in central and eastern England, while Tuesday and Wednesday will see the peak of the heatwave.
